The Vorarlberg Flat Roof
The Vorarlberg Flat Roof brings five seats into a crisp, modern shape. Its flat roof keeps it to 87 inches tall and 81 by 60 inches on the ground, so it sits neatly in the yard while giving a whole family — or a group of friends — room to share the heat.
Inside, it's a classic Finnish sauna. An 8 kW Harvia stove warms the stones and holds the room at 170–185°F. Ladle water over the hot stones and the steam drifts along a room more than six feet wide, with 81 inches of height to let the warmth gather overhead. The sandglass, bucket and scoop come with it, ready for the first round.
Close the bronze privacy glass door, set the chromotherapy light to the color of the evening or to red, and put on your music over Bluetooth through the built-in speakers. Conversation slows, shoulders drop, and stepping out into the cool air between rounds becomes part of the ritual.
Built of natural, reforested Canadian hemlock with a waterproof stain outside, it asks only that you keep the finish up over the years. It needs a level concrete pad or wood deck, a 240V circuit for the stove installed by a licensed electrician, and a regular 120V outlet for the lights and sound.

- Made for outdoors, with its own roof.
- The whole floor must sit completely level and well supported — a concrete pad or a wood deck. On bare ground, use concrete blocks or a similar base so the sauna doesn't settle.
- Keep the ventilation vent clear.

- 170–185°F is the ideal range; the stove can reach up to 190°F.
- Pour small amounts of water over the hot stones for steam. Sandglass, bucket and scoop are included.
- After a session, cool down for about 20 minutes before showering.

- Plan on three adults for assembly.
- Keep the exterior finish maintained over the years. Never stain the interior — it stays natural wood.
- Clean the inside with plain water and a soft cloth — no chemical cleaners. Care for the stove and stones per Harvia's instructions.

- Golden Designs warranty: 5 years for residential use (1 year for commercial use) on the wood structure when properly maintained, the control panel, wiring harnesses and lights. The Harvia stove is covered by Harvia's own warranty.
