The Vorarlberg
The Vorarlberg is a five-person outdoor sauna for the evenings when everyone comes along — family on a Sunday, or friends who stay after dinner. The room inside is more than six feet wide, so five people sit side by side without crowding, and a broad roof overhangs the walls to keep the entrance sheltered. After dark, accent lights along the roof outline it against the garden.
The heat is the classic kind. An 8 kW Harvia stove on the wall warms the stones and brings the room to 170–185°F. Scoop water over the hot stones and the steam rolls along the benches — löyly, the soft wave of heat the Finns wait for. The sandglass, bucket and scoop are included, so the first round can start the day it's ready.
Behind the bronze privacy glass door it's your own world. Pick a color for the chromotherapy light or switch to red, put your music on over Bluetooth through the built-in speakers, and let the conversation wander. The warmth eases tired muscles; the cool air outside feels even better between rounds.
The Vorarlberg is built of natural, reforested Canadian hemlock, finished outside with a waterproof stain — keep the finish up and it stays handsome for years. It needs a level concrete pad or wood deck, a 240V circuit for the stove installed by a licensed electrician, and a regular 120V outlet for the lights and sound.

Where it can go
Where it can go
- Made for outdoors, with its own roof.
- The roof overhang adds about 21" to the width and 16" to the depth — leave room for it.
- The whole floor must sit completely level and well supported — a concrete pad or a wood deck. On bare ground, use concrete blocks or a similar base so the sauna doesn't settle.
- Keep the ventilation vent clear.
Power
Power
- The stove needs its own 240V / 40A circuit and must be installed by a certified electrician.
- Lights and sound plug into a regular 120V / 15A outlet.
- We can connect you with a licensed local electrician.
Heat and sessions
Heat and sessions
- 170–185°F is the ideal range; the stove can reach up to 190°F.
- Pour small amounts of water over the hot stones for steam. Sandglass, bucket and scoop are included.
- After a session, cool down for about 20 minutes before showering.
Assembly and care
