The Osla
The Osla is a six-person sauna for full evenings — the family on a Sunday, or friends who come over after dinner and stay for a round. The room inside is 74 by 67 inches, the front is a clear glass door with a fixed glass panel beside it, and it settles in indoors or under a covered patio.
An 8 kW electric stove with built-in controls warms the stones and holds the room at 170–185°F. Pass the ladle, pour a little water over the hot stones, and let the steam roll across the benches — löyly to share. The sandglass, bucket and scoop are included, and a small vent lets you fine-tune the warmth for everyone.
When the lights go down, the ceiling turns into a field of color-changing stars. A soft light glows behind the backrest, a white reading lamp waits for the quieter moments, and the playlist runs over Bluetooth through the built-in speakers. Conversations stretch out, shoulders drop, and nobody checks the time.
Inside it's Canadian red cedar; outside, clear Pacific cedar with a clear finish. Wipe the interior with plain water and a soft cloth, and if it lives under a patio roof, reseal the exterior wood once or twice a year. The stove needs its own 240V circuit from a licensed electrician; lights and sound use a regular 120V outlet.
