The Gargellen
The Gargellen is a five-person outdoor sauna for a household with more than one idea of the perfect warmth. The room is more than six feet wide, so five can sit together, and the broad roof overhangs the walls to shelter the door; accent lights trace the roofline once the sun goes down.
Turn the switch one way for the stove: an 8 kW Harvia heats the stones to 170–185°F, and a scoop of water brings the rolling steam of a classic Finnish sauna. Turn it the other way for full-spectrum infrared — four PureTech™ Near Zero EMF carbon panels and six near-infrared elements — that warms you directly at a gentler 118–132°F. They run one at a time, so Saturday can be steam with friends and a quiet Tuesday can be soft infrared on your own.
Behind the bronze privacy glass door the evening is yours. Choose a color for the chromotherapy light or switch to red, put on your music over Bluetooth through the built-in speakers, and let the warmth ease the day out of your shoulders. The sandglass, bucket and scoop are included for stove nights.
Built of natural, reforested Canadian hemlock with a waterproof stain on the outside, the Gargellen asks only that you keep the finish up over the years. It needs a level concrete pad or wood deck and one 240V circuit, hardwired by a licensed electrician.

Where it can go
Where it can go
- Made for outdoors, with its own roof.
- The roof overhang adds about 21" to the width and 16" to the depth — leave room for it.
- The whole floor must sit completely level and well supported — a concrete pad or a wood deck. On bare ground, use concrete blocks or a similar base so the sauna doesn't settle.
- Keep the ventilation vent clear.
Power
Power
- One dedicated 240V / 40A circuit powers both the stove and the infrared.
- It must be hardwired by a certified electrician — no extension cords or adapters.
- We can connect you with a licensed local electrician.
Heat and sessions
Heat and sessions
- A main switch selects the heat: stove or infrared. They don't run at the same time.
- Stove: 170–185°F is the ideal range, up to 190°F. Infrared: 118–132°F, up to 140°F.
- Sandglass, bucket and scoop are included for the stove.
Assembly and care
Assembly and care
- Three adults are needed to assemble it.
- Keep the exterior finish maintained over the years. Never stain the interior — it stays natural wood.
- Clean the inside with plain water and a soft cloth — no chemical cleaners. Care for the stove and stones per Harvia's instructions.
Warranty and health note
Warranty and health note
- Golden Designs warranty: 5 years for residential use (1 year for commercial use) on the wood structure when properly maintained, the control panel, wiring harnesses and lights. The Harvia stove is covered by Harvia's own warranty.
- Check with your doctor first if you are pregnant, have heart disease, high or low blood pressure, diabetes or circulation problems, take prescription medication or have surgical implants. Children should use the sauna only with close adult supervision.
- Saunas are not intended to treat or cure any disease.
