The Copenhagen
The Copenhagen is a three-person sauna with a bright, open face: a clear glass door with a fixed glass panel beside it, so the room feels light even with the door closed. Inside, the bench runs more than six feet wide — room for a couple to stretch out, or for three to sit side by side. It belongs in a spare room, a basement or under a covered patio.
The heat is classic Finnish. An 8 kW electric stove with built-in controls warms the stones and brings the room to 170–185°F. Ladle water over the hot stones and a soft wave of steam drifts through the room — löyly. A small vent lets you fine-tune the warmth, and the sandglass, bucket and scoop come with the sauna.
Look up and the ceiling sparkles with color-changing stars. A light glows behind the backrest, a white reading lamp is there when you want it, and your music plays over Bluetooth through the built-in speakers. The cedar warms, the conversation slows down, and the evening becomes yours.
Inside it's Canadian red cedar; outside, clear Pacific cedar with a clear finish. Wipe the interior with plain water and a soft cloth, and if it lives under a patio roof, reseal the exterior wood once or twice a year. The stove needs its own 240V circuit from a licensed electrician; lights and sound use a regular 120V outlet.
