The Bergen
The Bergen is a six-person sauna for gatherings — the whole family after a day at the beach, or a circle of friends who make Friday night a sauna night. The room inside is 75 by 67 inches, enough for everyone to find their spot, and the all-weather exterior lets it stand proudly in the yard or sit indoors.
An 8 kW Harvia stove on the wall heats the stones and fills the room with classic Finnish heat, 170–185°F. Pass the scoop around, pour water on the hot stones, and let the steam roll over the benches — löyly, shared. The sandglass, bucket and scoop are included.
Inside, it's all natural Canadian red cedar. Soft light glows behind the backrest, the oversize chromotherapy light lets you choose a color or switch to red, and your playlist runs over Bluetooth through the built-in speakers. Through the clear glass door you can watch the evening fall while the warmth unknots everyone's shoulders.
Keeping it beautiful is simple: plain water and a soft cloth inside, the exterior finish refreshed over the years. Set it on a level concrete pad or wood deck. A licensed electrician adds the 240V circuit for the stove; the lights and sound use a regular 120V outlet.

- Indoors or outdoors — the exterior is built for the weather.
- The whole floor must sit completely level and well supported — a concrete pad or a wood deck. On bare ground, use concrete blocks or a similar base so the sauna doesn't settle.
- Keep the ventilation vent clear.

- The stove needs its own 240V circuit — the owner's manual lists 30A or 40A for this family; a certified electrician sizes it to the stove's rating and installs it.

- 170–185°F is the ideal range; the stove can reach up to 190°F.
- Pour small amounts of water over the hot stones for steam. Sandglass, bucket and scoop are included.
- After a session, cool down for about 20 minutes before showering.

- Three adults are needed to assemble it.
- Keep the exterior finish maintained over the years. Never stain the interior — it stays natural wood.
- Clean the inside with plain water and a soft cloth — no chemical cleaners. Care for the stove and stones per Harvia's instructions.

- Golden Designs warranty: 5 years on the wood structure (when properly maintained), control panel, wiring harnesses and lights. The stove is covered by its manufacturer's warranty.
