Dynamic Cold Therapy Oval Cedar Cold Plunge

The Oval Cedar Cold Plunge

The Oval Cedar Cold Plunge is the other half of a sauna evening. Its low, oval tub — 50 inches long, 30 wide and just 35 tall — wears a Pacific cedar shell in natural wood or black, so it sits beautifully next to a sauna on a deck, a patio or in a home gym.

The reduced height makes stepping in and out easy and safe. Step out of the heat, lower yourself in feet first, breathe slowly, and feel the cold wake up every inch of you — then back to the warmth. That contrast is what so many sauna lovers chase.

Pair it with a Dynamic chiller and the water is ready when you are: set anywhere from 37°F to 85°F on the touch screen or from your phone, while the chiller filters the water and sanitizes it with ozone. The 0.8 HP chiller cools 1–3°F every 30 minutes; the 1.0 HP model every 20 minutes.

A custom cover with child-safety latches closes it up between plunges. Choose the tub on its own, or as a set with either chiller.

Before you buy

Where it can go

  • Indoors or outdoors, on a flat, stable surface that can carry the full tub plus a person.
  • Indoors: a waterproof floor, ideally near a floor drain — water can spill when filling and draining. Not on carpet, and in a well-ventilated room.
  • Outdoors: smooth ground free of sharp stones and branches, with the included floor mat underneath; avoid long hours of direct sun.
  • Plan easy access to a water source and drainage.

The chiller

  • Cools to as low as 37°F and heats to 85°F, set on a splash-proof touch screen or from the Wi-Fi app (Tuya Smart).
  • Built-in self-priming circulation pump, two-stage filtration with 20-micron replaceable filters, and automated ozone sanitation.
  • Runs on a standard 120V outlet, with GFCI protection built in; rated for indoor and covered outdoor use.
  • A chiller isn't included with the tub-only option.

Water and care

  • Fill to about 70% so your head stays well above the water line; start with less and add as needed.
  • Keep the pH between 7.2 and 7.8 and test the water regularly; the optional chiller filters and ozonates the water.
  • Clean the inside with a soft cloth and a neutral detergent — no hard-bristle brushes.
  • For storage, drain completely, wipe dry, cover, and keep it above freezing and out of prolonged sun.

Warranty and safety

  • Dynamic Cold Therapy warranty: 1 year on the insert, the wooden shell and trim, and all other tub components. The chiller has its own 1-year warranty.
  • Check with your doctor before starting cold plunges, especially with heart disease, high or low blood pressure, circulation problems, diabetes or if you take medication.
  • Immersion in water below 70°F carries a risk of hypothermia, and body temperature can keep dropping after you get out. Enter feet first, breathe steadily, and never plunge after alcohol or drugs.
  • Never leave children unsupervised near the tub; lock the cover with its clasps when it's not in use.
